Remember that in the previous article "Korean: Use 고, 서 to connect sentences", 고 and 서 were used to connect two sentences. This article will continue to introduce the usage of 그리고 and 그레서, which are similar to 고 and 서. Let's learn how to use them together.
그리고 means "and". The usage is also quite simple.
Just add 그리고 in front of the sentences you want to connect.
사무실에는 테이블, 의자, 그리고많은 책장이 있습니다.
The office has tables, chairs, and many bookshelves.
오늘 티켓을 살 거예요. 그리고 서울로 출발합니다.
I'm going to buy a ticket today. And it leaves for Seoul.
그레서 means "therefore". It is used to express the cause-and-effect relationship between two sentences.
Just add 그레서 in front of the sentences you want to connect.
나는 김치를 좋아한다. 그래서 매일 김치를 많이 먹습니다.
I like kimchi. So I eat a lot of kimchi every day.
오늘은 서울에갑니다. 그래서 방금 티켓을 샀어요.
Today I am going to Seoul. So I just bought a ticket.
There are also many similar conjunctions, such as 그레도, 그리나, 그리면, 그리니까, 그런데...etc. These are all conjunctions that can be used to connect sentences. Due to the space, I cannot introduce all of them, so I will explain them one by one later.
