When you shop in Korea, you will be asked 'How to pay', 'Do you use credit card?', 'Do you have a point card?' and 'Do you want a bag?'. There are even instructions on 'how to return products' and so on. The clerk will often say a long series of sentences at once, and sometimes you may not understand the meaning if you don't pay attention. Here is a list of the phrases used at the checkout after shopping in Korea.

When you store at a store, you will often hear the staff use the phrase 도와 드리겠습니다.
This is a common phrase used by the staff when they want to serve you.
도와 = 돕다, meaning to help.
드리다 means to give, to offer.

After checkout

봉투에 넣어 드릴까요?

Do you want to put it in a bag?
넣다 means "put in".

봉투에 담아 드릴까요?

Do you want to put it in a bag?
담다 means to put or put on a vessel.

봉투 구매하시겠어요?

Do you want to buy a bag?

교환/환불은 15일 이내에 정상 상품에 한해서 카드 영수증 지참하시고 가능하세요.
